Introduction

A data connection defines the origin of external data—such as Google Calendar, Airtable, or a file from Dropbox.

When data requires authentication, a data connection securely stores the necessary credentials—such as your Google authorization, Airtable API key, or Dropbox token—so you don’t need to re-authorize access repeatedly.

For public (unauthenticated) data sources, a simple URL is sufficient.

Note: Data connections are only used for external data sources. Any external data source must be linked via a data connection.

You can manage all your data connections (create, modify, delete, and list) in the Configuration Panel.
